Built in 1916 and running on solid tyres this is probably the oldest surviving Maudslay in the world.
This very rare vehicle was seen, in an unrestored condition, at the CVRTC Truck Show, Gaydon, Warwickshire, England in June 2001.
This chassis has now had an authentic WW1 War Department body fitted and can be seen at the Coventry Transport Museum, whose volunteer staff stripped and restored the lorry over a number of years, the work being completed in 2015.
See 13717 for the fully restored version.
